Starting at the very end of this year, from December 29th to January 11th, we’ll be taking our first scheduled hiatus.
Why the break?
We usually work far ahead, using that extra time (also known as “buffer") to take short yearly vacations, usually around Christmas. We’ve never missed a release, but keeping up that streak meant doing extra work on days off afterwards, often for months at a time. That’s not sustainable, so we’re trying something else:
From now on, whenever we take vacations, instead of spending months slowly rebuilding our buffer, we’ll take a two-week break to create the extra episode we need to get ahead again. During those two weeks, there will be no social media teasers and no episode, but afterwards, everything will resume as normal.
You can survive two weeks without us, right?
