Ep 110. Mistaken

Flying over the city Dragonscale thinks to themselves, He's obsessed with those terminals. He is from High Society. Has Hokkaido died before? Flying up to the window of her building, Dragonscale thinks, It's good to be back. Placing their hands against the glass, it won't budge. Dragonscale says, Huh? She thinks, It's locked? What happened? She looks to her right, noticing something as her mouth hangs open.

An instance of ID Fragmenta is attached to the outside of the building, its flesh stuck to the bricks and growing outwards. It is decorated with budding hive core fragments. Dragonscale looks at it inquisitively before blasting it with fire. She thinks to herself, Maybe that's why. Smelling its burning corpse reminds her of fried chicken, and she makes an awkward face.

Dragonscale bangs her fist on the window. Text says bang bang. She shouts, Guys! I killed it! Let me in! The curtains then part to reveal Peanutbutter. Dragonscale's expression lights up, until Peanutbutter raises the pill bottle of opioids to the window with a scowl. Dragonscale's smile drops.

Inside the apartment, Peanutbutter sits on the couch across from Dragonscale. Between them on the coffee table is the pill bottle. Peanutbutter says, You can't keep doing this. Dragonscale says, It's not. I wasn't. She gets cut off by Peanutbutter, who says, I don't care how many supplies you bring back. You can't be running off by yourself doing fucking opioids. Dragonscale shouts, They weren't for me! I'm clean! Peanutbutter shouts, Then who are these for?

Dragonscale frantically explains, Someone I see outside! He was in pain! I haven't taken a single one! Peanutbutter shoots up, asking, Do you think I'm stupid? Text says stand. Stylus and Dagger can be seen on the other side of the hallway sitting behind the wall. They exchanged concerned looks. If that's true, why do you have them? Dragonscale says, I didn't want him to get addicted! PB asks, Why would you be meeting up with some random guy? Dragonscale shouts, I don't do it on purpose! Fed up, Peanutbutter screams, Dragonscale!

PB Shouts, It's a miracle that you aren't a giant insect! Dragonscale snaps back, You'd be a giant insect if it wasn't for me! Getting angry, Dragonscale begins to emit a warm glow. She yells, You do not know better than me! Fire spits from her mouth as she screams, I am your leader! Her lip curls upwards, revealing a small extra row of sharp teeth.

Peanutbutter screams back, If I didn't know better than you, I'd swat your lying little junkie ass across this room! We are not your property! Stylus and Dagger stare at each other with wide eyes in disbelief. Stylus's mouth hangs open as Dagger grits his teeth.

Peanutbutter leans towards Dragonscale, asking, Do you hear me? Dragonscale starts growling. Peanutbutter says, Not. She lifts her hand to point at Dragonscale. Dragonscale glows brighter. PB says, Your. Property! She jabs her finger into Dragonscale's face, the contact burning her flesh and producing black smoke. Text describes the sound of hissing as her skin burns up, and says jab. Dragonscale continues to growl loudly.

Peanutbutter's finger is on fire as she presses it into Dragonscale's face. Dragonscale's tail lashes as she continues growling. Peanutbutter stands her ground, glaring back at them. Dragonscale's glow begins to fade, as well as her growl and her angry expression. When she returns to normal, Peanutbutter pulls her hand away from her face. Her skin comes off, her finger still smoking. There are tears in Dragonscale's eyes as she stares forward.

The two stand in front of each other looking exhausted and tense. Dragonscale covers her face with her hands, walking briskly towards the window. Peanutbutter says, Scale. With a concerned look, Peanutbutter watches as Dragonscale flees back into the cold through the window, leaving her backpack behind.
