Text reads step step as Spool walks briskly past Citrus in his apartment room. Citrus says, Hey, we need to talk. Spool. Spool fidgets with the closet door knob, saying, Hold on. I'm so fucking cold. I need my coat. Citrus looks tired. Spool opens the closet door, saying, I, Ooh girl.
A musty dusty crusty body pillow flops forwards out of the closet and onto Spool's face. Citrus, in shock and horror, says Gweh? After some time, Citrus and Spool can be seen sitting on the edge of Spool's bed. Citrus is in his hominid form, and Spool is wearing winter clothes.
Spool stutters, Aren't you kinda cold without your. Citrus cuts him off, saying No. Spool says, okay. Spool asks through grit teeth, What did you want to talk about? Citrus says, I want to talk about, the hunting people situation. I liked the Molotov. I'd like to start burning hives. Spool makes a noise of discomfort and acknowledgement. Spool says, I, have alcohol. Citrus says, Good.
Later, in a dark abandoned building, Citrus and Spool are stalking a survivor. Across a narrow entranceway, Citrus says quietly, Get him to come over and I'll take him out. The survivor rummages through the contents of a box. Humming to himself, he says, Oh, a book. Let's read the back. Toothbrush wears a dark gas mask and is carrying a metal rod with some modifications, like a knife duct taped to the end of it and a stained wad of cloth on the other end. Toothbrush picks up a book titled Lunar Escapade, blushing as he reads the transcript. He says, Woah mama.
Toothbrush turns around when he hears Spool cough and yell for help. Spool cowers in the dark, asking, Are you really real? I need help! Toothbrush snaps his fingers, saying, Oh buddy, it's your lucky day! The third hold will take ya.
Spool asks, The third what? I can barely hear you! Come over here, I'm scared! Toothbrush shouts, It's an encampment under Graven! You'd love him! Spool notices something, his expression changing to dread. As he sinks back into the dark, Toothbrush asks, Haha, what's wrong? Scared the bugs will hear us? Toothbrush stands proudly next to Razor, shouting, We cleared them all out around here!
Text describes loud growling. Toothbrush says, Maybe we missed a spot. Black smoke begins to billow from the dark doorway containing the warped snarling expressions of bears and wolves. The scene turns a deep red, as Toothbrush drags the cloth end of his weapon across the concrete floor. The friction causes it to ignite, and Toothbrush waves the flames in Razor's face.
Citrus winces from his hiding spot as a loud crunch is heard from the other side of the wall. Spool stares blankly. Toothbrush's broken body hangs from Razor's jaws, his weapon extinguished and his arm broken. His object is cracked and his mask has fallen off, allowing the blood pooled up in his goggles to splatter onto the floor. Text describes the sounds of blood and the goggles hitting the concrete.
Toothbrush's eyes light up, irritated, misshapen, and caked in blood. He grins wide, addressing Graven in a strange voice. Graven stands above them, looking down through a hole in the concrete ceiling. Starsheet pokes out through the clouds above. Graven says, I'm very disappointed, Toothbrush. Toothbrush says, But, wait! Save me!
Graven says, Make it back to the third hold alive and I'll forgive you. Toothbrush shouts, Wait, sir! I'm sorry! Graven says, It's a long que. He walks off, saying, Farewell. Toothbrush says sadly, Sir.
Spool looks around the corner towards Razor. Text says peek. Razor growls loudly, locking eyes with Spool. A fuzzy memory flashes in her mind of when Spool helped her. Razor recognizes him, the deep red receding quickly from the scene.
Razor drops Toothbrush onto the ground, backing away into the dark and disappearing.
Still alive, Toothbrush says, Oh, Thank you! Citrus extends his hand towards Toothbrush, saying, Don't worry. We'll take you home. Tell us where the Third Hold is, hiding.
