Painkiller says, Of course something breaks. The whole lab is made of fucking glass. Fossil shushes them loudly. She says, Something else is not right. Painkiller asks, Is it the elevator door not closing all the way? The elevator is in view, its doors ajar. Loud thuds and bangs echo from the elevator shaft, trailing down towards the open door. Painkiller stares in fear and anticipation.

Long, dark legs can be seen through the transparent ceiling of the elevator. An assimilated object chitters. The ceiling cover falls down to the floor with a loud bang. The shot zooms in on Fossil and Painkiller panel by panel, as long insectoid legs descend from the elevator shaft and more assimilated object vocalizations can be heard. The two stare intensely at each other, as Fossil says, Find the breaker.

Fossil points the ray gun towards the elevator as Painkiller runs off screen to find the breaker box. Warbled speech comes from the elevator, slowly forming crystal clear into the word Hello after a few attempts. Fossil fires a shot into the elevator, illuminating the inside while shattering the glass and breaking the handrail. The light fizzles out, plunging the elevator back into darkness. A voice says, Closer.

Closer. Help. Long claws wrap around the elevator door. Part of a disfigured face can be seen, barely, inside of the elevator. Painkiller feels around on the wall for the breaker box on the far end of the lab. They think to themselves while panicked, I can't see in the fucking dark! Text says pat pat. Painkiller's mouth hangs open slightly as they notice something on the ground. Barely visible is Carrot's infested corpse, laying on its back with a mouth full of parasites and staring up towards Painkiller.

Text says step step as Painkiller begins to back up. They laugh nervously, saying, I told you to stop doing that. Painkiller freezes up as they accidentally kick something. Text says thud. Painkiller turns around, looking down towards Carrot's burnt corpse. The burnt corpse croaks eerily. Painkiller screams, scaring Fossil.

Fossil opens fire, panicking. Text repeats the word zap several times. The shots leave burning holes in the tile ceiling, illuminating the edges of some insectoid limbs as something large crawls across the ceiling just out of view. The light from the singe marks fade, leaving Fossil in total darkness again. They look around nervously, sweating.

In the dark, Fossil points the ray gun blindly before deciding to run towards the table. Long legs descend from the ceiling down to where Fossil was standing as she hides under the table. A large assimilated razor hangs down from the ceiling, hand over its stretched mouth as it calls, Mama's here. Shroud spines protrude from its throat.

Fossil watches, fearful. The assimilated object's face hovers underneath the table, in view of Fossil. Its pupil shrinks as it notices Fossil, revealing that the object has delirium. The assimilated object says, Give me back my baby.

Fossil opens fire without hesitation, lighting up the area with a blinding blue and white light. Text repeats the words zap and pop as the parasite is shot to shreds from the neck up.

The ray gun and some singed areas around the parasite's neck glow orange as they emit smoke. The assimilated object plummets to the ground, shaking the lab. Text says slam. The lights then turn back on with a loud kachunk. Fossil stares on in horror, sweating.

Painkiller holds their finger down on the main breaker switch after flipping it. Their body slumped against the wall, they sniffle and say, Momma. Fossil begins panting as reality further sinks in, continuing to stare forwards.
