Warning, This episode contains drug abuse. Viewer discretion is advised.
Painkiller sits up, dazed. They have blood, spit, and snot on their face and their skin is covered in scratch marks. Painkiller licks their lips, making a wet sound.
Painkiller makes the same mistake again on purpose, creating the gas again. Carrot manifests in the room, saying There you are. Was wondering where you'd gone. Can I keep reading this to you? I just find these signals so fascinating. And you. You're such a good listener.
Carrot asks, You think you'll get that thing working? I'm always impressed when someone is able to tame the intangible. Painkiller says, I know my way around textbooks. In the next panel we see reality, where Painkiller is mumbling incomprehensible speech and bleeding from their nose. The blood is starting to soak into their clothes.
In Gum's building, a radio buzzes to life. Music starts playing over the speakers at the radio station. Gum picks up the radio to listen to the song.
Painkiller smiles, looking down at their hands. From their colorblind point of view, everything is a muddy yellow. Painkiller's bones and nerves are visible through their hands. In the next panel, Painkiller is expanding the chicken coop with scrap. The coop and ladder are now covered in blood, as well as a Painkiller shaped spot on the ground. Text says thuk thuk to describe the sound of hammering.
Painkiller stares lovingly at Carrot while laying on top of him. In the next panel, Painkiller is mumbling something incomprehensible on the floor, drooling in a puddle of their own blood. It bubbles, making a pop pop sound. Blood is smeared all over the floor, manual, table, and used vials are scattered all over the floor.
Coming down from their high, Painkiller realizes that the beaker is almost empty. In Carrot's lab, Fossil has the toy ray gun on a table and is using an electric welding tool on it. Inside of it there are chips and wires. The elevator door begins to open in the next panel with a loud ding, causing Fossil to jump in terror and drop her tools. Painkiller stands grinning in the elevator, soaked in their own blood and holding a bloody hammer.
Fossil stares at Painkiller, dumbfounded and scared. The dark silhouette of Painkiller gripping the hammer fills half of the space in the panel. In the next panel, Painkiller says, Fossil. Fossil turns around and begins hastily putting something together. Painkiller raises the bloody hammer over their head. Text says raise. They begin to say, Fossil! I need more. They are interrupted by a loud zap sound and a beam of light.
Painkiller holds their pose, making a shocked and distraught expression as a smoldering hole sits perfectly centered between their arm and their head in the wall. Painkiller swivels around to stare at it. In the next panel, Fossil holds the modified ray gun toy while the end of it smokes. She is trembling. The lights in the lab flicker. Text says flicker flicker.
The lights make a clunk sound as they shut off. Painkiller shouts, asking, Is it the blood? Don't worry, it's mine! Fossil stares at them, mortified. Text says shatter as both characters look up towards the sound.
