Dragonscale flies above an icy assimilated object outside in the snow. The assimilated object bellows, steam and spit flying up towards Dragonscale from the hole in its face. Dragonscale's cheeks puff up and glow a faint orange color before she unleashes a blast of fire onto the parasite. Text describes the sound of the roaring fire as well as the sound of the assimilated object shrieking.
Dragonscale concentrates her fire breath into a blue beam of bright light, changing the sound it makes from roaring fire into ear piercing ringing. She lands in the snow next to the burning remains of the object, saying, Ugh. Stupid cockroach. I wonder where that guy is.
A text box says, Meanwhile. Hokkaido, in a form resembling a cockroach, is using his insectoid legs to stand on a wall while he chews the face off of a maki roll character. His enlarged fist is connected to a large crater in the concrete wall by a trail of blood and slime, implying that he bashed the character into the wall and started eating it. Text by the character's leg says twitch twitch. Blood sprays from their broken arm, with text saying squirt. Hokkaido sees Dragonscale through the eyes of the prior assimilated object as it is being attacked by Dragonscale. He perks up, scratching his face. Text says scritch scritch.
Hokkaido appears behind Dragonscale, who turns around to face him. She says, Oh! There you are, Doodoo! His expression changes from a smile to a grimace, saying, Doodoo? Actually, it was Hokkaido, remember? Dragonscale says, It's the name I've been workshopping! It's Hokkaido shortened to do! Then I thought, That's too short, so I'll double it up. Do you love it? Hokkaido brightens up, surrounded by pink and flowers. With watery eyes, he says, Doodoo. It's my name.
Dragonscale tosses a pink lump backwards towards Hokkaido, hitting him in the face. She says, I also got you warm clothes so, you're welcome! Covering her eyes, she asks, Is it on? Hokkaido asks, How do I look? Dragonscale shouts, wow! Hokkaido is standing stiffly wearing a pink outfit that includes a beret and a penny coat with a bow. Hokkaido, embarrassed, asks, Aren't these girl clothes?
Dragonscale says, I thought you wanted to wear girl clothes. Hokkaido asks, What? The haute couture? My sisters got to wear that because they're girls. Dragonscale asks, Who gives a shit? Do whatever you want. Be a woman for all I care. Hokkaido says, That's impossible. The terminal will say I'm male no matter how many times I respawn.
Dragonscale says, I came from a rock. I was just a they until I was 21. And my mom switched to being a dad sometimes. Hokkaido looks uncomfortable and says, I feel weird. Dragonscale's expression softens. She says, Hey, listen. Don't even worry about labels. People are complicated. Hokkaido says, I. I have to go! He runs away into the snow storm.
After a long black buffer, cold wind blows into a trashed room through a broken window. Text describes the sound of screaming wind. A standing mirror leans against a wall. Hokkaido's reflection can hardly be seen in it.
Hokkaido sits with parasitic legs sprawled out on the floor, clinging the torn remains of the penny coat to his mangled body. He stares at himself with an intense, thoughtful, and unsettling expression.
