Ep 113. Bloodhound

10/30/26

Razor is bathed in a red glow. Text describes the loud sound of the cold wind blowing past her. Her head is angled towards the sky as the red beam of light starts to narrow. As the red beam disappears, Razor turns towards several visual representations of scent trails, growling with her face obscured by shadows. She foams at the mouth.
Razor glances to the side towards a purple scent trail. Small stylized drawings of Toothbrush stand on top of the scent trail, smiling at her. Razor follows his scent through the city. The little Toothbrushes standing on his scent trail begin to laugh mockingly at her. The teeth, eyes, and snouts of wolves and bears are visible in the darkness of Razor's face.
Meanwhile, Harry looks down towards Schick from the top of a short cliff. Schick stands on his hind legs, leaning against the foot of the cliff. Schick asks, Anything? Anything at all? Harry says, I walked all the way to another pack's territory. We scuffled, but. Nobody there has seen Astra. Harry is covered in a couple of scuff marks. Schick asks while stuttering, You don't think she went into the rings? Harry says, I don't.
Harry says, Her scent trail ended by the edge of the lake. Schick says, But, That was moons ago! Text says dumf, describing the sound of Harry leaping to the ground in front of Schick. Harry rises to his full sitting height and says, Schick. Schick shouts, It rained that day! She could be anywhere! Harry says, I don't want to watch you become like Pana. I think we both know what happened to our sister. She is dead. In the next panel, Razor continue to be laughed at by Toothbrush's scent trail. Her visual representation of delirium is more intense, overlaid in a deep red and distorted. More eyes and teeth are visible in the shadow of her face.
Harry says, I don't want to watch you become like Pana. I think we both know what happened to our sister. Tears are in the corners of Schick's eyes. Harry says, She is dead. Meanwhile, Razor continues to suffer from delirium.
Toothbrush skips along his scent trail, looking back towards Razor and laughing. The laughing gets louder, covering the page. Red stars beam down through the storm clouds above as veins resembling circuits creep into the edges of Razor's vision. The rest of the page is covered by gaping maws and eyes and laughter.
Toothbrush's scent trail creeps around the corner of a building. Razor casts an unnatural shadow against one of the buildings, resembling a smoke stack of wolf and bear teeth. Ice spikes stick out from the sidewalk in the direction of Razor, which resemble hivecore fragments in the red light of the environment. Blood is now visible around the edges of Toothbrush's eyes, which create a second scent trail that is red. The maws pick up the scent of blood, and their eyes dilate.
Schick leans against Harry under the light of a crescent moon. Schick says, Harry, the sky is so empty without Astra. Harry says, She took the stars with her. Schick asks, And dad took a big bite from the moon? Harry adds, and dug out the clouds. Schick asks, What for? Harry says, To bury his daughters. Their speech bubbles sit on top of a tall panel filled with Razor's delirium.
